The nüvifone smartphone, created by navigation company Garmin and computer manufacturer Asus, should go on sale in late June or early July… but only in Asia. A launch date for North America and Europe is still unconfirmed.
Originally announced in January 2008, the nüvifone is already a year behind schedule. The update came from Garmin Chief Operating Officer Cliff Pemble, who told the company's AGM that the nüvifone would go on sale in selected Asian markets in the next few weeks. [Sources: Google/AP; Twice.com]
