German court rules in favour of Doro after competitor infringes design rights

Doro AB, the Swedish company known for its easy-to-use mobile phones, has announced its legal victory over a competitor. Earlier this month a court in Germany upheld a preliminary ruling that stopped Emporia Deutschland from selling a Telme-branded clamshell mobile phone similar in appearance to Doro’s products.

Jérôme Arnaud, President and CEO of Doro, said “I am very pleased that the Landgericht Hamburg court has confirmed our position. We work intensively and continuously with innovation, design and branding. That is why we also promptly and consistently challenge any infringements upon our intellectual property rights.”

The company won a preliminary ruling in Poland over the design of DURO branded phones last month.
