GetJar acquires Infrinity to make apps easier to find

Independent application store GetJar has acquired Infrinity, a young company that provides ‘predictive insights’ to help publishers improve their customer lifecycle management. GetJar plans to use Infrinity’s technology to help it improve discovery, recommendations and user experience within its app store.

Anand Venkataraman, one of Infrinity’s founders and its CTO, will join GetJar as Vice President of Discovery Technologies.

Ilja Laurs, GetJar CEO, said “With hundreds of thousands of apps to choose from, the app store experience can be very overwhelming for consumers. With Anand’s leadership and the technology of Infrinity, GetJar will make noticeable advancements to its app store usability and improve app discovery”
