Good Technology, which enables employees to use their personal iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices at work without jeopardising business security, has made two major announcements today. It’s introduced a technology called AppKinetics, which helps to protect information when it’s being sent between applications, and has also added a number of third-party apps to its ecosystem.
Good Dynamics AppKinetics enhances the Good Dynamics platform by building on the company’s ‘containerisation’ model, enabling business apps to securely exchange information between multiple applications.
John Herrema, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Good Technology, said “When it comes to enterprise mobility, we believe MDM solutions emphasise the wrong ‘D.’ Value and productivity ultimately come from the data and applications that employees actually use - not the devices they run on. With AppKinetics and our ecosystem of Good Dynamics partner apps, IT leaders can meet their productivity and information security objectives by securing and deploying what matters most: high-value business apps and data.”
The company also unveiled eight new additions to its Good Dynamics ecosystem of third-party enterprise apps in the areas of business intelligence, collaboration, document editing, document printing, file storage, content management and mobile application development platforms. Partners involved include Roambi, Box, NetDocuments, iAnnotate, Verivo Software, Copiun, GroupLogic and NewsGator.
