Google Goggles can now tag your photos

Google has introduced a new version of its Google Goggles app for Android smartphones. Previously the standard application allowed users to search online by taking photos from within the app; this new version can also work in the background to analyse all photos taken by the phone, tagging landmarks, artwork and logos.

‘Search from camera’ within Google Goggles is an opt-in feature. It consumes around 100Kb of data for each online query.
