Google offers its Project Glass 'smart glasses' to beta testers in the USA

Google has published a new video demonstration of its Project Glass headset, which offers a wearable computer with a camera and display built into a pair of ‘smart glasses’. The project was first revealed last year.

It’s also inviting people in the USA to test the new product, which will cost $1500 for a ‘Glass Explorer Edition’ headset. Developers in the United States have previously been offered Google’s smart glasses to pre-order at the same price.

In a blog post, Google wrote “We’re looking for bold, creative individuals who want to join us and be a part of shaping the future of Glass. Glass is still in the early stages, so we expect there will be some twists and turns along the way. While we can’t promise everything will be perfect, we can promise it will be exciting.”
