GPS watch offers real-time location checking by text message

Locate Mobiles has announced a GPS-equipped wristwatch that can be bought for a one-off payment without any licensing fees or subscription charges. The GPS watch, which costs £236, includes a GPS chip and GSM connectivity. Calling the watch – which takes a conventional SIM card - prompts it to respond by sending its current location as an SMS text message. The location can then be viewed online using Google Maps.
