The GSMA, which represents the interests of the worldwide mobile communications industry, has announced the nominees for the 15th Annual Global Mobile Awards. A total of 105 nominees have been chosen from more than 500 entries. The winners will be announced at a formal presentation in the main conference auditorium at the GSMA’s Mobile World Congress next month. We'll be there to bring you news and interviews from the event – and to reveal the winners.
One of the most keenly awaited awards is the 'best mobile handset or device'. Last year's winner was the INQ1 'social mobile' handset; this year's nominees are the Blackberry Bold 9700, the HTC Hero, the Huawei U8220 (better known as the Android-powered T-Mobile Pulse), the Samsung Star S5230 (known in the UK as the Tocco Lite) and the Samsung Omnia i8910 HD.
