HTC is shutting down HTCSense.com cloud service ahead of 'renovation'

HTC has informed customers that the cloud-based HTCSense.com service to sync smartphone contacts, messages, call history and its ‘footprints’ location service will be discontinued from 30th April 2012. Customers are being encouraged to download their personal data as a zip file.

The company describes the move as “a renovation to improve the services and value we deliver to customers like you” and says the features will be shutting down “until the new services are ready”.

Customer data will be deleted after 30th April.
