HTC has announced quarterly revenue of NT$70.2 billion (£1.49 billion) and net profit of NT$3.9 billion. Profit was down 79% year-on-year, while revenue was down 48%.

China was described as a key driver of growth for HTC in Q3 2012, while the US market performed in line with expectations and the EMEA was ‘focused on developing brand consideration’.

Peter Chou, CEO of HTC, said “Our products, innovations, employees and partners are the cornerstones of our business. We greatly anticipate getting our latest design innovations into the hands of our customers - the inspiration for everything we do.”

Products due in Q4 include the company’s Windows Phone 8X and 8S devices, along with the HTC One X+ and a family of HTC One devices tailor-made for the Chinese market.
