HTC Corporation has announced results for the first quarter of 2011. After-tax quarterly profit was NT$14.83 billion (around £309.7 million), up 196.8% year-on-year, while revenue had grown for the fourth consecutive quarter since 1Q 2010 to reach NT$104.16 billion, up 174.5% year-on-year.
9.7 million handsets were shipped in the first quarter, up 192% year-on-year and up 6% on the previous quarter.
