India’s mobile market grew 50% in last 12 months
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India says the country’s mobile phone subscriber base grew by 50.04% in twelve months – adding over 130 million users – to reach 391.76 million at the end of March 2009. In fact, a record 15.64 million customers joined Indian mobile networks in March 2009 alone. [TRAI.gov.in (pdf)]
