In August it was reported that music streaming service Spotify was talking to 3 UK. Next, Li Ka-Shing of Hutchison Whampoa invested in Spotify and arranged for the CEO of its INQ handset manufacturer to sit on Spotify’s board.
Then TechCrunch.com told us that Sweden’s Telia network was going to launch a Spotify-branded mobile phone from INQ… followed by an announcement yesterday that Telia and Spotify were indeed working together on a mobile service.
Handset details haven’t been confirmed but, with 3 and INQ linked via their parent company, it seems pretty likely that any Spotify mobile is also likely to turn up on 3 UK.
