Intel says Q3 will be below expectations

Chip maker Intel Corporation has admitted that third-quarter revenue will be below the company's previous expectation of between $11.2 and $12.0 billion. It now expects Q3 revenue to be somewhere between $10.8 and $11.2 billion, blaming the reduction on "weaker than expected demand for consumer PCs in mature markets".

Intel's formal figures for Q3 2010 will be released on 12th October 2010.
