Jailbroken iPhones infected by Rick Astley

Apple iPhone users who’ve ‘jailbroken’ their handsets to work on other networks or download non-approved applications are being warned that their phones could be infected by a ‘worm’. The worm currently changes the phone’s wallpaper to an image of pop star Rick Astley, although future variants could be more malicious.

Only jailbroken iPhones are susceptible – and only if they’ve had the SSH file transfer system installed but haven’t had the default password changed. [Sophos blog]
