In December 2009 we heard how Ford intends to let car owners turn their vehicles into mobile broadband hotspots with the newest version of its Microsoft-powered SYNC in-car connectivity system.
Now Datamation.com says Kia Motors is going to reveal its own plans to use Windows Embedded Auto software in the next few days. The Kia system will be called UVO, powered by Microsoft. Full details of the communications capabilities of the new system are expected at CES 2010; much like the Ford system it's expected to be restricted to vehicles in the USA when launched.
