LG confirms its first Android smartphone

The LG GW620, which will be available in Europe by the end of 2009, has been confirmed as the company’s first Android-powered device. It’ll have a 3-inch touchscreen and a slide-out QWERTY keypad. The news follows LG’s announcement earlier this month that it’s introducing at least 13 new Windows Mobile smartphones in the next 16 months. [Press release]
