LG, Nokia and STMicroelectronics named in legal action from Caltech

The California Institute of Technology (Caltech) says Nokia, LG Electronics, STMicroelectronics and Toshiba are among a number of companies that have infringed its patents. Its recent complaint lists nine patents related to camera technology.

The university took legal action against a number of digital camera manufacturers last year to protect patents that were developed from research conducted for NASA.
