Mobile broadband traffic up 30% in Q2 2009

Internet service company Allot Communications says worldwide mobile broadband traffic was up 30% in the second quarter of 2009. Its Global Mobile Broadband Traffic Report has looked at data covering 150 million mobile customers around the world. Asia leads with 36% growth, followed by Europe with 28% and the Americas with 25%. Streaming was the fastest growing broadband application, with data usage up 58%. [Press release]
