Mobile industry tells G20 it can help global recovery

The GSM Association has told world leaders at the London G20 meeting that the mobile industry could increase gross domestic product (GDP) by 3% or 4% in the next five years if regulation wasn’t so tight. It says spending $550 billion on mobile broadband networks would help create 25 million jobs. [Sources: Reuters.com; Guardian.co.uk]
