Singapore-based mobile media company BuzzCity has just published the results from a worldwide study of mobile internet users. (Well, not strictly worldwide – these things rarely are – but across ten countries that included many of BuzzCity’s busiest advertising networks, which meant Europe wasn’t considered).
They found that the top brand most favoured by mobile internet users was KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken). Next was McDonald’s, followed by Sony, Nestlé, Samsung, Nokia, LG, Coca-Cola, Panasonic and Philips.
The company’s research also noted that most mobile users would recommend their favourite brand but were unlikely to do so when prompted by a sales promotion. [Press release; pdf survey]
