Lincoln Crown Court has heard how Peter Gamblin stole a wallet, a watch and a mobile phone from a man in the street – but later answered a call from the victim's friend and gave his name & address.
Peter Gamblin punched Jonathan Franke and knocked him to the ground when he talking on his mobile phone to a friend. When the friend called back, Mr Franke's friend heard what the prosecutor described as "a rambling man on the other end of the phone."
The jury heard how the man than gave his first name, nickname and his address. Peter Gamblin was later arrested at that address, although he claimed to be a victim of mistaken identity. Sentencing is due in the New Year; a custodial sentence is expected. [thisislincolnshire.co.uk]
