Mobile tickets can make life easier, says Masabi

Today's special podcast from The Fonecast contains an extended interview with Ben Whitaker. Ben is CEO of Masabi, a mobile ticketing company that's developing a system to allow users to buy UK rail tickets direct from their mobile phones.

Masabi recently announced a deal with thetrainline.com that'll see train tickets for the UK's national rail network available via your mobile phone later this year. We discuss a wide range of m-ticket topics, including the new national standard for electronic train tickets, the security offered by Masabi’s technology, ease of use, replacing physical tickets with on-screen barcodes and the potential of NFC technology.
