Mobile software management company Red Bend says its software has now been embedded in more than a billion mobile devices.
The first Red Bend enabled mobile device was the Siemens Mobile S65 phone, which started shipping at the end of 2005. In the five years since then, Red Bend’s software products have been included in more than 700 different devices from companies including Samsung, LG, ZTE, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and Sharp. Most recently, Q4 2010 saw its software shipping in 89 million mobile devices.
Red Bend’s products are used for remote ‘over the air’ management of mobile devices and applications.
