Motorola celebrates 40th anniversary of first moon landing

Motorola is sometimes accused of living in the past and spending too much time focussing on outdated products. Well, its latest news release won’t please those critics – but it provides a useful reminder of Motorola’s heritage.

It’s the 40th anniversary of the first manned moon landing on 20th July. Motorola will be joining the celebrations because it provided the radio transponder for Neil Armstrong’s famous first words from the moon. From 20th July it’ll be updating its its Facebook and Twitter pages with “Then versus Now” technology comparisons. Oh, and it’s also produced a special edition of its premium Motorola Aura phone.
