New Archbishop to be announced by text
The Archdiocese of St. Louis in Missouri will use text messaging to announce the appointment of its new Archbishop - which it thinks is probably the first time the technology has been used in this way. The announcement is expected in the near future and is usually made at noon in Italy, which will be 5am in St. Louis. The Archdiocese has been without an Archbishop since June last year when the previous Archbishop was apointed to a new role in Rome. [Press release]
