These days, a new Motorola handset has the mobile industry holding its collective breath in nervous Dancing-on-Ice-like anticipation. Will this be the next Bolero… or will it fall flat on its face?
Reality TV metaphors aside, the new Motorola Evoke QA4 definitely shows promise, although it curently only appears to be US-spec CDMA. It’s a 2.8-inch touch-screen device with a slide-out keypad and customisable on-screen widgets. The 'socially-inclined' features include RSS feeds, a proper HTML browser plus links to Picasa, MySpace and YouTube. No idea of a price yet but availability should be Q2 2009.[Press release]
