Earlier this month we talked to Suneet S Tuli from DataWind about his company’s PocketSurfer device. The current PocketSurfer2R is a handheld web device with a QWERTY keyboard, embedded SIM and ‘free’ internet access for a year. Towards the end of the interview Suneet mentioned the next generation of PocketSurfer device – PocketSurfer3 – and said there’d be different form factors as well as new features revealed by the end of the summer. Well, the company certainly isn’t taking any chances with the potential brevity of a British summer: it’s just announced a launch event for three new mobile internet products on 9th July.
