New student MVNO set for UK

Tucked away in a press release from x-Mobility, which is launching a new service that makes it easier for brand to launch virtual mobile networks, is news about a new MVNO called Uni-Tel Mobile. It’s using x-Mobility’s service to help it set up a network that’ll target the UK student market. Uni-Tel currently offers a calling-card service to students at a number of universities; its MVNO will take advantage of the 3 UK network. According to Mike Hall, Operations Director at Uni-Tel Mobile, “We think that we have a very compelling offering to the student market and we’re extremely excited about the possibilities.” [Press release via RealWire]
