Business and financial management software company Intuit – probably best-known for its QuickBooks accounting software – has announced a partnership with Nokia to create a mobile marketing service.
The two companies are holding back many of the details until the service launches later this year. However, in a statement announcing the partnership, they say it'll help small businesses get more trade through personalised, relevant offers and marketing messages.
Timothy Doherty, Research Analyst for SMB mobility at IDC, said "Small businesses have a strong appetite for tools that can help them reach their customers and attract new ones. There is a real opportunity for cost effective solutions that allow small businesses to proactively target the mobile customer with highly contextual offerings based on location and past purchase behaviour."
