The 14th edition of the Greenpeace Guide to Greener Electronics has ranked Nokia as the world's 'greenest' electronics manufacturer. Greenpeace gave it a score of 7.3 out of 10, noting that new Nokia phones have been free of PVC for four years and almost all new Nokia models are free of brominated flame retardants (BFRs) as well. Nokia is also commended for its 'take-back' programme and for committing to reduce CO2 emissions. In second place was Sony Ericsson with a score of 6.9.
