Nokia announces new mobile TV handset
Nokia has announced a new mobile phone that's capable of receiving TV broadcasts. It's called the Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition and is compatible with the DVB-H mobile TV standard - the European Commission's preference. Although Nokia has produced a number of TV-compatible handsets in the past four years, the 3.2-megapixel Nokia 5330 is notable for its relatively low price - 155 Euro SIM-free (around £160 incl. VAT) – and the other services it supports, including social networking and Comes with Music. Although some countries will get the Nokia 5330 MTVE in early 2010, the UK is unlikely to be one of them because it doesn't have a national DVB-H service. [Press release]
