Nokia has announced that Sean Fernback will be taking over as president of its HERE mapping business from 1st November.
He’ll be taking over from Cliff Fox, who’d been appointed as an interim leader after CEO Michael Halbherr left in August.
Mr Fernback, who’s currently Senior Vice President at HERE, joined the Nokia business earlier this year from location and navigation specialist TomTom.
He said “I am very excited about this role because I truly believe this company can do some great things in the coming years. Our maps and location cloud will be critical enablers for automated driving as well as new location experiences for enterprises and consumers. I am pleased to be leading the team that makes it happen.”
