Nokia invests in mobile money

California-based mobile phone payment service Obopay says it’s received a minority investment from Nokia. It describes the investment as a “resounding endorsement” and “a landmark in the evolution of mobile payments”. Teppo Paavola, Nokia’s head of Corporate Business Development, is also being appointed to Obopay’s board of directors. [Press release]
