Nokia has responded to the so-called 'Curse of Silence' bug, which prevented Nokia S60 3rd Edition devices from receiving any further text messages. The problem occurred when a message was formatted in a certain way and sent from another Nokia phone. Nokia has now released a free SMS Cleaner program that removes any Curse of Silence messages from the phone, uninstalls itself and then restarts the phone.
