Nokia is suing Samsung, LG, Philips, Toshiba, Hitachi, Sharp and a number of other companies for price-fixing. The complaints relate to LCD screen manufacturers in the USA and the UK, plus cathode ray tube manufacturers in the UK. Nokia says it wants damages for products sold in 2006, although it's not specified an amount.
Some of the companies have already paid fines following a price-fixing investigation by the US Department of Justice – and the European Union is also looking into display price-fixing. [Sources: PCWorld.com; Reuters.com; Bloomberg.com]
