O2 UK is planning to extend its mobile phone brand into travel insurance, according to a report on BrandRepublic.com. The company already offers insurance for mobile phones and laptops.
The travel insurance will be provided in partnership with Mondial Assistance and will include single-trip, annual and 'pay monthly' options.
Other O2 non-mobile services available in the UK include debit cards, fixed-line phones and broadband.
