O2 UK launches laptops with embedded SIM cards

O2 UK has announced its first devices with embedded SIM cards. Although the concept isn't new – Vodafone UK has offered netbooks with SIM cards for over a year, while Datawind's UbiSurfer and PocketSurfer devices also have built-in SIMs – these are the first O2 laptops with their own SIM cards.

Both products are exclusive to O2 in the UK. The Samsung N150 netbook will be available from tomorrow with a mobile broadband deal that includes 3GB of mobile data, 500MB WiFi and 300 texts for £25 a month on a two-year tariff. It'll cost a one-off £29.99, while the the slim Asus UL30A laptop - available in May with the same tariff allowances but for £30 a month – will cost £79.99 up front.
