Telefónica, O2’s parent company, has provided what it’s calling the “world's first real LTE demonstration” in Madrid today. LTE (long term evolution) is the 4th generation of mobile technology – and today’s demonstration is the first time an LTE network has been connected to a working 2G/3G network. VoIP and video calling were demonstrated along with data speeds of over 140Mbps.
