O2's UK recycling scheme has paid out £1 million in five months

Last October we reported that O2 had launched an online recycling service called O2 Recycle. It offered anyone cash for working mobile phones, MP3 players, laptops, digital cameras, printer cartridges and satellite navigation systems.

Today O2 Recycle announced it has generated £1 million in pay-outs for customers less than five months since its launch. Each recycled device also generates £1 for O2's social change programme, with funds currently going to the newly-created Think Big scheme.
