Independent application store GetJar.com says the Opera Mini mobile browser has been downloaded from its site more than 25 million times, making it the most downloaded application ever from any app store.
The 25 million figure has been helped by the regular development of Opera Mini – now on version 4.2 – but is still pretty impressive, with the latest version of Opera Mini on GetJar having received nearly 7.5 million downloads since the beginning of the year. [Press release via BusinessWire]
