Orange has launched a service called Pocket Landline that enables smaller businesses to have a fixed-line telephone number working on a mobile phone. It enables customers to have a location-specific number without the need for an office presence.
The service can be managed via a web portal that enables customers to create custom announcements for incoming calls and change the way in which calls are handled. As well as offering a simple ‘one landline number to one Orange mobile’ service, Pocket Landline also has the option of up to 10 landline numbers diverting to a single Orange phone – or a single landline number ringing up to ten Orange mobile handsets.
Martin Lyne, SME Marketing Director of Everything Everywhere, said “With Pocket Landline, businesses will never have to miss another call from customers just because they’re on the move. The fixed number could help increase credibility and local presence, while the easily scalable packages mean that your Pocket Landline service can expand with the business.”
Pricing starts from £15+VAT per month for each landline number.
