Over 20% of mobile downloads use WiFi

Mobile billing and analytics company Bango has calculated that 20% of people visiting web sites to purchase online content using their mobile phones are connecting via WiFi, not the mobile network. As well as affecting potential revenue from data usage, the company also points out that WiFi connections prevent the user from charging content to their mobile account – which could further affect content sales.
