Last night's Mobile News Awards saw HTC win 'best manufacturer', bringing an end to the battle in previous years between LG and Samsung. The 'best large retailer' award for 2010 was based on mystery shopping results, which resulted in Orange picking up the award for the first time.
Most innovative service went to Orange Social Life, innovative handset went to INQ Chat 3G and innovative non-handset device went to Novatel Wireless MiFi.
Tom Alexander, the former Virgin Mobile CEO who now runs Orange UK, was given a lifetime achievement award – a new category for the event.
