Push to Talk (PTT), which lets mobile phone users connect instantly in the style of a walkie-talkie, will reach 8.5% of the North American market by the end of 2013, according to ABI Research. However, it’s not been anything like as popular elsewhere in the world. The reason, according to ABI, is that operators outside the USA haven’t emphasised its business benefits.
