Technology website Hexus.net reports that Luis Pineda, senior vice-president of product management for Qualcomm, says a 1.3GHz version of the company's Snapdragon mobile processor (the 8X50A) will be available later this month with a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor - the 8X72 – turning up before the end of the year. The company's 1GHz chip is currently used in high-spec smartphones including the Google Nexus One and the Toshiba TG01.
