HTC has published results for the third quarter of 2011. It says total revenue grew for the sixth consecutive quarter, reaching NT$135.82 billion (£2.8 billion) - a 79% increase on Q3 2010. After-tax profit was NT$18.68 billion, up 68% year-on-year.

In the last 12 months the company has almost doubled the number of mobile phones it produces. Shipments in Q3 2011 reached 13.2 million devices, up 93% year-on-year (and up 9% on the previous quarter).
