Scoreloop, which offers a social gaming platform to help developers create new mobile games, says over a million new users per week are purchasing and playing games that use the Scoreloop platform.
It also announced that 100 million game sessions were delivered on its platform in 2010 and more than 350 million high scores were uploaded by gamers using a Scoreloop-enabled game.
Marc Gumpinger, CEO of Scoreloop, said “One million new users a week is a magic number for Scoreloop, and it’s proof that users are actively taking advantage of the social element that we’re enabling thousands of developers to creatively integrate into their mobile games. Today’s announcement represents an accelerating rate of growth that’s no doubt driven by the significant SDK uptake and an increasing number of developers using our tools to leverage the freemium model.”
Popular games developed using the Scoreloop platform include Frenzic, Jewels and Toobz.
