Sony Ericsson’s results for the third quarter of its financial year have shown a €164 million loss (around £149 million), which isn’t as bad as the previous quarter but is still substantially larger than the same quarter in 2008. Most analysts have viewed this as being in line with or better than expectations.
The manufacturer also says the decline in the global handset market is slowing down and estimates it now has around 5% of the market. [Full details]
