Sony Ericsson warns that sales numbers will be down

Sony Ericsson says a lack of consumer demand means it’ll probably ship around 14 million mobile phones during the first three months of this year with an estimated average selling price of 120 Euro each. That’s down from 24.2 million units in the previous quarter. It also expects its net pre-tax income to drop to a loss of between 340 and 390 million Euro. The company’s quarterly results will be published next month. [Press release]
